CUSTOM INQUIRIES

I have a waiting list for custom artwork. In order to be added to the waiting list, please fill out the inquiry form linked on the contact page. Keep in mind, I do not take every single inquiry that I get. I review each inquiry carefully to make sure my artwork will be a good fit for you or your brand. Sometimes, I may turn inquiries down if they do not align with my brand or style. Also, you may have a deadline that is sooner rather than later, and I may be booked too far out to meet that deadline. If you have a hard deadline for the artwork to be completed, please let me know when you reach out!

INQUIRY INFORMATION

Inquiries should include:

  • Full Name

  • Business Name if applicable

  • Email Address

  • Phone Number

  • Name of the service(s) you need (Logo, t-shirt design, etc.)

  • Description of developed concept (Describe the vision you have in your head—figures, animals, landscapes, style, etc.) If you have several designs you’d like me to do, please include a description for each one.

  • Coloration you desire (1 color design, full color design, etc.)

  • Inspiration images or a Pinterest inspiration board

  • Date your artwork needs to be completed

  • FOR LICENSING: The type of products you will be using the artwork for (apparel, home goods, kitchen wares, fabric, books, packaging, etc.)

It is vital that you complete the form with as much detail as possible. This will help me decide if I can complete your project within the time I have available. Please include a valid email address. This is how I will be communicating with you.

COLORATION

For logo and product design clients: please let me know what kind of coloring you need for your project. I have several different coloring/painting styles. For example, if you want to limit the colors of your design for screen printing, I need to know that. Or if you need a full color image for direct to garment/heat transfer/sublimation printing, that makes a big difference. I use different processes for each. Refer to my website, pricing guide, or Instagram to see my various illustration styles.

PINTEREST BOARD OR INSPIRATION PHOTOS

I prefer if you can complete a Pinterest inspiration board with pictures and color schemes that represent your brand or your vision. This can include logos or artwork that you like or it can just be any photos that influence or represent your style. This gives me a good idea of your vibes and it also lets me know that you have a fully developed vision and concept. This makes the design process so much easier for me and you! You can upload photos directly in the contact form OR you can leave the link to your Pinterest board. If your board is secret, that’s fine! Just make sure to add me as a collaborator so that I can see it. My Pinterest account is www.pinterest.com/taliawhatcott.

CONSIDERATIONS

I will be giving preference to projects that favor my specialties and preferred styles. These include western or agricultural illustrations, watercolor/oil style artwork, pastels or bright, fun color schemes, authentic depictions of western life and cowboys/cowgirls, horses, cattle, and dogs, vintage inspired text, mountain wildlife, and rustic or farmhouse themes.

PAYMENT

I require either a 50% non-refundable retainer or an advance (for art licensing) in order to reserve your spot. I try to let you know ahead of time what the cost is for my designs, but I understand that there are unique projects and it can be hard to know exactly what the price will be until I get all the information.

I know this is a lot of information to go through and I sincerely appreciate your willingness to read it all! I love doing custom work and I want to be able to give my best work to my clients in the most efficient way.

If you have questions about this process, shoot me an email and I’ll answer the best way that I can! I’m looking forward to hearing about your project!
